Marine Protective Coatings Ltd, trading as MPC, is committed to the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity in all our business dealings. Although we are a small company with fewer than 10 employees, we recognize our responsibility to take a robust approach to slavery and human trafficking and are fully committed to ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking do not exist in our operations or supply chains.

MPC operates within the marine industry, specialising in the provision of protective coatings for maritime and industrial applications. Our services are delivered primarily in the United Kingdom, and we engage with suppliers and subcontractors who provide materials, logistics, and specialist labour.

Our Commitment

We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. We aim to implement and enforce effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains.

Supply Chain and Risk Assessment

Given our size and scope, our supply chain is relatively limited. However, we remain vigilant, particularly when working with subcontractors or sourcing materials that originate outside the UK or EU, where risks of modern slavery may be higher.

• Clearly communicate our expectations of ethical standards
• Review supplier policies and conduct informal risk assessments when needed

While we do not currently have a formal Modern Slavery Policy due to our small size, our internal practices reflect our ethical stance. These include:

• Encouraging openness and reporting concerns without fear of retaliation
• Refusing to work with suppliers or subcontractors known to engage in exploitative practices

Due to our size, we do not have a formal training programme, but all employees are made aware of the signs of modern slavery and the importance of ethical supply chain management.

We are committed to reviewing this statement annually and updating our approach as our business grows or if risks change.
