MPC installed a marine-grade resin flooring system with fibreglass upstands in a campsite shower block, delivering a seamless, waterproof, and non-slip surface in a decorative green finish to meet the client’s requirements.
The uneven concrete base was levelled using a sand-infused primer before applying the PSL Deco self-levelling resin, decorative flake, and durable sealcoats. The result was a hygienic, mould-resistant, and easy-to-clean surface with full waterproofing and a premium appearance - combining marine expertise with land-based application.
MPC was commissioned to install a specialist floor in a campsite shower block. The client required a waterproof, non-slip surface in green with decorative flake. Drawing on our marine expertise, we recommended a fibreglass upstand system - commonly used on ships - to deliver complete waterproofing and a premium finish.
The existing concrete base presented challenges. A survey revealed significant unevenness, which would prevent self-levelling products from achieving a smooth finish. Increasing the floor depth to compensate would cause door clearance issues and add unnecessary cost. Instead, we mixed sand into the primer to level the surface efficiently, creating a stable base for the resin system.

The result was a seamless, durable, and hygienic floor. The fibreglass upstands provided complete waterproofing, while the PSL Deco resin created a smooth, non-slip surface resistant to mould and easy to clean. The finish is visually striking and built for longevity, resulting in a very satisfied client.
